Jagdalpur. A historic and decisive turn was witnessed today in the Dandakaranya region of Chhattisgarh. A total of 210 Maoist cadres, under the government’s comprehensive Naxal eradication and rehabilitation policy, have renounced violence and chosen to return to the social mainstream. Among them are 1 Central Committee member, 4 DKSZC members, 21 Divisional Committee members, and several other senior Maoist leaders.

This is being regarded as the largest collective surrender in history, marking a new era of peace, trust, and development in Bastar.
From Weapons to Harmony – 153 Lethal Weapons Surrendered
The Maoist cadres who have returned to the mainstream have left behind their violent past by surrendering 153 weapons, including AK-47s, SLRs, INSAS rifles, and LMGs, to the government.
This act not only symbolizes the end of their past but also represents a new beginning toward peace and a life of dignity.
