CM Vishnu Deo Sai Ensures Her Admission to a Special School, Approves a Scholarship for Her Education

Raipur. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai continues to touch lives through “Jandarshan” programme, where he personally meets people arriving from across the state to address their grievances with sensitivity and promptness.

At the very beginning of today’s Jandarshan, the Chief Minister met 11-year-old Poonam from Telibandha, Raipur — a remarkable girl who, despite living with cerebral palsy and being unable to speak, expresses her world beautifully through paintings made with her feet.

Poonam’s mother shared her story with the Chief Minister, explaining the challenges her daughter faces and how, despite her condition, Poonam creates exquisite artwork using her feet. Listening with deep empathy, Shri Sai interacted with the young girl with affection, gently encouraging her and acknowledging her extraordinary spirit.

Moved by her talent and resilience, the Chief Minister assured Poonam’s mother, saying, “We are with you. You need not worry about your daughter’s future.”

Shri Sai immediately directed officials to ensure Poonam’s admission to a special school where she could receive appropriate education and care, along with the provision of a scholarship to support her studies.

Chief Minister’s thoughtful gesture has infused new hope into Poonam’s life, reaffirming the government’s commitment to inclusion, compassion, and nurturing every child’s potential, no matter the challenges they face.
