Farmers, Self-Help Groups, Traders, and Citizens to Benefit from Better and More Accessible Banking Services; Cooperative Expansion to Gain New Momentum – Kedar Kashyap

Jagdalpur. The new building of the Narayanpur branch of the District Central Cooperative Bank Ltd., Jagdalpur, was inaugurated today by Chhattisgarh’s Forest and Cooperation Minister, Kedar Kashyap. The event was attended by public representatives, bank officials, and a large number of local citizens.

With the inauguration of the new building, farmers, self-help groups, traders, and the general public in the Narayanpur region will benefit from more accessible, organized, and modern banking services. The improved infrastructure is expected to significantly enhance both the reach and quality of financial services in the area.

Speaking on the occasion, Cooperation Minister Kedar Kashyap said that efforts are being made to strengthen the cooperative sector and provide new momentum to the rural economy. He stated that the new bank building will not only strengthen banking services but will also contribute to the region’s economic development and financial inclusion.

He further said that cooperation remains one of the government’s key priorities. “Our commitment is to ensure that modern banking facilities reach every village, farmer, and the last person living in forest and rural areas, thereby strengthening economic self-reliance. The new Narayanpur branch building is not just a structure; it will serve as a new center of development, trust, and prosperity for farmers, women, and youth in the region,” he added.

Dinesh Kashyap, Chairman of the District Central Cooperative Bank Ltd., Jagdalpur, said that cooperation is not merely a medium of financial services but also a strong foundation for rural development and self-reliance. The inauguration of the new Narayanpur branch building will provide farmers, self-help groups, traders, and citizens with better, faster, and more transparent banking services.

Srinivas Mishra, Vice Chairman of the District Central Cooperative Bank Ltd., Jagdalpur, described the inauguration of the new Narayanpur branch building as a significant achievement for the region. He said that it will make banking services more accessible, effective, and people-oriented.
