Jagdalpur. After continuous protests by teachers and rising complaints, the School Education Department has taken major action by removing Bastar Division’s Deputy Director (Education) Rakesh Pandey from his post. H.R. Som has now been appointed as the new Deputy Director of Bastar Division. The department has issued the official order in this regard.
According to information received, the Chhattisgarh Teachers’ Welfare Association along with several other teacher unions had raised strong objections regarding Rakesh Pandey’s working style, behaviour, and allegedly authoritarian attitude. Teachers had submitted several written and verbal complaints to departmental officials. Recently, a delegation of teachers also met Minister Kedar Kashyap demanding immediate action.

With the appointment of H.R. Som as the new Deputy Director, teachers are hopeful of fair and sensitive leadership. After the order was issued, a sense of satisfaction was seen among the teacher groups.
