Officers should provide timely solutions for public grievances : Chief Minister Shri Sai

Raipur. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai held a meeting with department secretaries and heads at Mahanadi Bhawan on New Year’s Day, directing them to ensure transparency in government operations and swift resolution of public matters. He emphasised zero tolerance for administrative negligence, mandating punctuality and diligence from all staff levels. He stressed the importance of teamwork in achieving the goal of a developed Chhattisgarh.

During the meeting, Shri Sai noted that they had fulfilled Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s guarantees in 2024. He highlighted 2025 as Chhattisgarh’s Silver Jubilee year, urging officials to work with renewed enthusiasm. The Chief Minister instructed officials to clear pending files through special campaigns and implement e-office systems effectively across all departments. He announced he will personally review all departmental operations, directing secretaries to conduct monthly virtual reviews and quarterly physical assessments. He emphasised resolving issues in major scheme implementations promptly while keeping the Chief Secretary and Principal Secretary informed, stressing the timely resolution of public grievances.

Shri Sai highlighted the focus on ‘ease of living’ and ‘ease of doing business,’ noting Chhattisgarh’s favourable investment environment and the widely praised Industrial Policy 2024-2029. He emphasised ensuring investors benefit from the new policy.
The Chief Minister addressed law and order, citing significant success against Naxalites in the past year and establishing peace in affected areas. He stressed the importance of extending government schemes to Naxal-affected regions, particularly the Niyad Nella Nar Yojana, and ensuring a swift completion of projects in areas with newly established security camps. Shri Sai described delivering government benefits to remote tribal areas as an act of service.

Chief Minister Shri Sai instructed secretaries-in-charge to conduct bimonthly district visits, focusing on interior regions to assess ground-level scheme implementation. They must report their findings to the Chief Secretary and Principal Secretary. He emphasised strengthening district-level administration and addressing traffic management concerns amid rising road accidents. He called for targeted campaigns to reduce accidents and strict measures to prevent drug trafficking from other states.
The Chief Minister acknowledged the past year’s efforts in combating illegal drug trade, emphasising the need to intensify these operations further.
Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain, Additional Chief Secretary, Director General of Police Shri Ashok Juneja, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Chief of Forest Force Shri V. Srinivas Rao, Principal Secretaries, Secretaries, and Heads of Departments, along with other officers, were present in the meeting.
