Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao to Inaugurate the Conclave
Raipur. Chhattisgarh will host its first-ever Sports Conclave on July 28 at the Courtyard by Marriott Hotel, Raipur. Sports administrators, experts, sports scientists, and renowned athletes from across the country will deliberate on a roadmap to strengthen sports infrastructure, athlete training, and sports development in the state. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai will attend the evening session, where he will present awards to Chhattisgarh athletes who won medals at the first Khelo India Tribal Games held in the state this year. Deputy Chief Minister and Sports & Youth Welfare Minister Arun Sao will inaugurate the conclave at 11:00 a.m.
The day-long conclave will feature seven thematic sessions covering athlete training, capacity building, sports science, high-performance participation, creating a supportive sporting ecosystem, improving sports facilities and strengthening sports infrastructure. The concluding session will present the key recommendations from all discussions, which will be implemented to promote sports and athlete development in Chhattisgarh.
Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao will address the inaugural session on “Leadership, Sports Promotion and Talent Identification”. International kabaddi player Ms Sanju Devi, international footballer Ms Kiran Pisda, swimmer Ms Anushka Bhagat and athlete Shri Lucky Markam will share the stage with him during the session.
The conclave will deliberate on Leadership, Sports Promotion & Talent Identification, Vision 2036: Preparing India’s Next Generation of Olympic Champions, Possible Pathways in Sports Development, Role of Sports Federations & Associations in the Development of Sports, From Injury to Excellence: The Role of Sports Science in Recovery and Performance, Public-Private Partnership (PPP) for Sports Infrastructure, Academies & Olympic Vision, Khelo India Mission: Building a Sporting Nation, and Medal Strategy for Chhattisgarh & State Sports Policy.
Among the keynote speakers will be Olympian Jinson Johnson, eminent educationist and sports scientist Dr Ratnesh Singh, General Secretary of the Chhattisgarh Olympic Association Vikram Sisodia, High Performance Analyst Ronak Kothari, National Secretary of PEFI Dr Piyush Jain, and Khelo India Deputy Director General Mayank Srivastava, who will share their expertise during various sessions of the conclave.
