Telibandha Chowk Among 38 Locations to Be Developed as ‘Seva Jyoti Sankalp Chowks’ Across Chhattisgarh

CM Vishnu Deo Sai Clarifies That the Initiative Does Not Involve Renaming or Altering the Existing Identity of the Chowk

Raipur.  Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has clarified that there is no proposal to change the name of Telibandha Chowk in Raipur, putting to rest the confusion surrounding the issue. He said neither the name of the chowk is being changed nor is there any plan to alter its original character.

Speaking to the media, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said that 38 locations across Chhattisgarh have been identified for development as ‘Seva Jyoti Sankalp Chowks’, and Telibandha Chowk in Raipur is among them. He clarified that the chowk will retain its existing name and identity and will only be developed in keeping with the spirit of the ‘Seva Jyoti Sankalp’ initiative.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai further said that various programmes are being organised across the country to mark 25 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public service as Chief Minister and Prime Minister. In Chhattisgarh, these programmes are being observed as the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’.

As part of the campaign, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai will participate in the ‘Seva Setu’ programme in Durg today. During the programme, the 32nd instalment of the Mahtari Vandan Yojana will be released for women beneficiaries across the State. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai extended his greetings and best wishes to all the mothers and sisters of Chhattisgarh on the occasion.

Vishnu Deo Sai said that the occasion will also bring a range of development and public welfare initiatives to Durg district. He reiterated that the State Government is working continuously for the development of every region and every section of society, guided by the principles of service, good governance and public welfare.
